Andy Rocky Raczkowski: "It's a frivolous suit."
Oakland County Republican and former 11th Congressional District candidate Andrew ("Rocky") Raczkowski faces legal problems.
One of his Republican opponents in the party's congressional primary, past Congressman Kerry Bentivolio of Milford, files a $10-million defamation lawsuit that accuses Raczkowski of being a liar, reports the site Oakland Confidential, part of Birmingham-based Downtown Publications.

Andrew ("Rocky") Raczkowski: "It's a frivolous suit."
The 49-year-old defendant is accused in the suit of lying about Bentivolio's military career and awards. Both candidates lost in the primary to Lena Epstein.
An Oakland County Circuit Court judge ruled last month that the case can proceed. “We made a case that he has a history of lying and telling mistruths, and we have enough evidence to proceed with a jury trial,” claims Bentivolio, 66.
Bentivolio is an Army veteran with a Vietnam Service Medal and two Bronze Service Stars; a Combat Infantryman Badge; an Army Commendation Award; a Meritorious Service Medal; an Iraq Campaign Medal; a Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and other awards.
Raczkowski, a retired Army lieutenant colonel, claims Bentivolio lied about his record.
“It’s a frivolous suit. We are going to move to dismiss it once we have a transcript of the tape where he talks about his alleged medals,” Raczkowski said.
