13-Year-Old Detroit Boy Walks Home Barefoot After Robbers Take His Shoes And Phone

A 13-year-old Detroit boy was robbed of a cell phone and several clothing articles and had to walk home barefoot before dawn.

 It was 6:30 a.m. and the teen was standing alone at a bus stop at E. Seven Mile and Eureka, near Ryan, when a man ran up and robbed the boy of his shoes, coat, hoodie and cellphone.

"My son catches the bus Monday through Friday at 6:36 a.m., and that's where he was on Monday," his mother, Ebony Whisenton told Greenwood.

"A truck with two men in it rode by and turned onto Eureka. A guy comes running up…and pulls a silver gun on him and says 'give me everything you got.'
