
Dia De Los Muertos
Honor the Day of the Dead in Mexicantown, where businesses will have beautiful and colorful displays, called ofrendas, that honor the dearly departed. The Southwest Detroit Business Association put together a beautiful guide featuring all the ofrendas, plus Mexican restaurants, bakeries and markets.

New Cass Corridor Eateries
The Cass Corridor welcomed two new eateries recently -- Spanish tapas bar La Feria and a gelateria called Melt.
Both offer styles of food that were previously difficult to find in Midtown, and they're just a few storefronts apart. A perfect Saturday double feature!

A Grand Opening In Corktown
Two James Spirits opened Friday. The Corktown distillery and bar was previously open for limited and occasional spans of time, and now has a regular schedule that includes noon-4 PM hours Sunday.

Funk Night Is Back
Legendary dance party Funk Night is back after a brief hiatus. Instead of location hopping, Funk Night can now call the Majestic Theatre home, where stellar tunes will be blasting until 4 AM.
DJs Frank Raines and Eastside and performers Rickey Calloway and Will Sessions make it happen Saturday.

Halloween High Tea
The Whitney is hosting a kid-friendly and Halloween-themed high tea Saturday afternoon.
The building is said to be haunted by David Whitney himself.
