Back in the day, before we cared about cholesterol levels and saturated fat, there seemed to be more fish and chips joints around town.
There still are plenty of Metro Detroit spots to get your fix of battered, deep fried white fish -- including Scotty Simpson's Fish & Chips on Detroit's far west side, open since 1950.
