Detroit's two most famous Coney Islands in downtown Detroit-- American and Lafayette -- have attracted some pretty interesting folks over the years, from celebrities to cops to federal judges to people in wedding parties.
Faisal R. Ali at Lafayette Coney Island, one of the more engaging waiters at the hot dog joint, shares interesting moments in photos posted on his Facebook page.
Ali, featured in a story and video on Deadline Detroit in March, agreed to share some of those photos with Deadline Detroit.
