With their two teenage children in their apartment, a husband and wife died in Sterling Heights Thursday morning in what police are calling a murder-suicide, The Macomb Daily says.
Police were called to the apartment in May and arrested the husband for domestic violence, Jameson Cook reports. Bond conditions barred contact with the wife.
The paper reports that the couple, both 44, were found about 9 a.m. in their Polo Green Apartments unit off Canal Road east of Schoenherr Road.
The teenage children, a male and female, were awaked by the gunshots, the paper reported. The daughter, 19, discovered her dead father and called police.
Police believe the husband shot his wife in the head and immediately shot himself in the head, the paper reported.
