We often need a scorecard to track all the new restaurant openings. The same applies to closings.
Zeke’s R&R BBQ on W. 9 Mile Road in Ferndale will shut Thursday, reports Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit. A few weeks ago, B Spot burgers on Main Street in Royal Oak called it quits -- leaving celebrity chef Michael Symon's chain with three Cleveland sites.
The barbecue restaurant and live music venue in Ferndale confirmed its demise on Thursday evening on Facebook:
"These past few years have been nothing short of amazing and we thank everyone for making them happen."
Staff members got the news last Wednesday afternoon -- just a week's notice.
