There's a miracle in this all, and yet another sad tale of violence in Detroit.
Tony Briscoe of The Detroit News reports that doctors delivered a baby girl of a woman who was fatally shot Sunday in a triple shooting on Detroit's west side. The baby was delivered via a Caesarean section.
Briscoe reports:
The woman, 23, who was nine months’ pregnant, was killed when she ran out of a home on the 9200 block of Meyers Road after a gunman shot and killed a 25-year-old man about 12:50 p.m. Sunday in the driveway, according to Sgt. Michael Woody.
Upon hearing the shots, a 75-year-old man pushed open a screen door and also was shot.
The 75-year-old man was wounded.
Police said it didn't appear the shooting was random. -- Allan Lengel
