The Pretzel Bell, an iconic restaurant in Ann Arbor that operated on Liberty Street from 1934-85, and was a favorite among many University of Michigan students, is being revived at a 8,000-square-foot location at 226 S. Main Street in Ann Arbor,  Eater Detroit reports.

The debut is set for Thursday, April 14.

The restaurant is the project of University of Michigan alumni and athletes partnered with restaurateurs Jon Carlson, Greg Lobdell, and Chet Czaplicka, Amy McCarthy writes at Eater Detroit .

The restaurant will  offer dishes with a "wink of nostalgia," like a "meat & potatoes" dish with potato tots, shredded cabernet short rib, and roasted parsnips drenched in beef gravy, and a pastrami-spiced pork shoulder served over hominy grits, Eater says.
