Detroit just keeps getting recognition these days.
The latest: Julie Hinds of the Detroit Free Press reports that TV pilot called "Detroiters" is heading to Comedy Central. Detroit natives are in lead roles.
The show will star Tim Robinson, a writer and former cast member for "Saturday Night Live," and Sam Richardson, who's been in shows like "The Office" and "Veep," reports entertainment industry website Deadline.
They'll play makers of small-time commercials in Detroit who yearn for greater things.
Saturday Night Live colleague Jason Sudeikis will executive produce the project with Broadway Video, the company of "SNL" boss Lorne Michaels, Hinds writes.
Robinson and Richardson were part the improv scene at Planet Ant in Hamtramck and Second City Detroit, Hinds writes.
