After a Rough Winter, Never Have We Been So Excited About Sod

Media outlets around town have been trumpeting the news:

• Kentucky Bluegrass from Colorado arrived Thursday morning for the Comerica Park field. 
• "Sod arrives with spring at Comerica Park," declares a Detroit Free Press headline.
• "VIDEO: New sod being installed on Detroit Tigers field at Comerica Park in Detroit," says WXYZ's website.
•  "Sod arrives for new field at Comerica Park: Kentucky bluegrass sod has less than 2 weeks to settle before Opening Day on March 31," WDIV declares.

Folks clearly see the sod as a sign that one of the toughest winters on record is really over. 

This is the first complete resodding at Comerica since 2007. Opening day against the Kansas CIty Royals is March 31.  -- Allan Lengel
