Age Will Be an Issue in Battle Between Conyers and Sheffield

Expect for age to play a role in the battle for Rep. John Conyer's Congressional seat.

On Wednesday, Conyers, 84,  announced that he'll run for a 26th term, Crain's Detroit Business reports. 

His Democratic opponent in the primary, Rev. Horace Sheffield III, 59, has already taken some shots at Conyers. He has said he's not the man he used to be.

And on WJR, Sheffield said: “The congressman is not all there. I’ve come to learn that other people other than the congressperson actually make decisions for the interests of our district."

Conyers' district includes Detroit, Ecorse, Romulus and Westland.
