Remember last summer when the chattering class was losing it's shit over the fact that tacky pop star Miley Cyrus was behaving like a tacky pop star?
It was one of those classic misogynist double standard situations where Rochelle Riley and her ilk explained how good girls simply do not behave like Miley Cyrus while also ignoring that Cyrus' disposable pop star male equivalent, Justin Bieber, was peeing in janitorial buckets and visiting Third World brothels.
It seems odd that the punditocracy could be so outraged by one pop stars provocative marketing strategy, but so unconcerned about another pop stars criminal behavior.
As is often the case, the public is ahead of the thought-leaders.
Following Bieber's DUI arrest (which followed a vandalism incident that caused $20K in damage) one man--just an ordinary citizen, really--finally stood up and said enough is enough. Perhaps Justin Bieber can't be stopped, but at least Bieber (a Canadian citizen) can take his delinquency back to his home country.
That man is Riverview resident Roger Skrzynski II, and though this word often gets thrown around a little too loosely, he is a true hero.
WDIV: “He’s destructive, dangerous, a drug-abusive teen, and he needs to be deported,” the 24-year-old told Local 4. “Your average immigrant, or someone who is here on a visa or a green card, would probably have already had hearings to be deported.”
Skrzynski said the petition idea came to him during a traffic jam on I-75. He was sitting in the passenger seat, listening to the Bieber news on the radio.
“I pulled my phone out, made an account on the WhiteHouse.gov website and just went with it,” he said. “The overall goal? To get the White House to talk about it.”
And the White House will have to talk about it, because Skrzynski's petition reached the 100,000 signature threshold triggering an automatic response from the executive branch.
Perhaps the White House can explain why honest laborers, like the person who probably had to clean Bieber's pee out of a mop bucket for minimum wage, are routinely deported for doing nothing more than looking for honest work in the United States, yet the immigration bureaucracy treats this entitled little brat Justin Bieber with kid gloves for his many criminal actions.
