This isn't exactly a promotional piece for taking the bus in Detroit.
Fox 2's Randy Wimbley reports that an angry passenger threatened to kill people on a Detroit Department of Transportation bus at Gratiot and Connor, and when the driver told her to get off the bus, she grabbed the wheel, causing the bus to hit a utility pole.
Two people were treated for minor injuries.
After the woman got off the bus, passengers chased down and restrained her until police arrived.
"This is how it ended up here," a witness told Fox 2. "They hit a pole, hit a telephone pole. Then the passenger got off the bus and the other passengers beat her up and held her for the cops."
The woman is expected to face charges.
