Another Dan Gilbert Purchase: The Former Globe Tobacco Building

The Dan Gilbert acquisition campaign continues.

The latest: Gilbert's Rock Ventures has purchased  the 58,000-square-foot former Globe Tobacco Co. building at 407 E. Fort Street for $3.3 million, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

Jennifer Kulczycki, vice president of communications for Rock Ventures, told Crain's the redevelopment plans have not yet been determined.

The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.
