Detroit 300, an anti-crime group that  hunts down perpetrators in Detroit, is mourning the death of one of its members,  39-year-old Marcel Jackson, a married father of six.

He was shot outside the Pandemonium club downtown where he was working as a bouncer early Wednesday morning.

Jackson's Detroit 300 brothers were cleaning up Jackson's blood Wednesday. He was shot in the back. The bullet exited his neck, piercing an artery and collapsing a lung. He didn't make it.

Colleagues say earlier Jackson had stopped a man from slapping around a woman in the club. Later Jackson was outside. The man was still hanging around and opened fire.
