Arnold Schwarzenegger, aka The Terminator, will host a rally in East Lansing next Saturday to encourage people to vote for a ballot issue -- Proposal 2 -- that will end gerrymandering as we know it in the state.
Scwarrzenegger, California's Republican governor from 2003-11, will host a rally in downtown East Lansing at 9:30 a.m., on the same day as the Michigan-Michigan State football game, WLNS in Lansing reports..
Before the rally, he'll speak at a fundraising breakfast, with tickets starting at $100. People who pay $500 or more will get a picture taken with the VIP visitor.
Schwarzenegger backed a similar effort in his state several years ago.
Michiugan's Republican Party opposes the ballot issue. GOP critics say the gerrymandering has favored the Republicans.
