Ashley Gold

Anyone who watches TruTV's reality show, "Hardcore Pawn," knows that the owners, the Gold family, are not to be messed with. And that includes Ashley Gold, the daughter of Les Gold, the top Gold.

Ashley never hesitated to get in customer's face at the family business, American Jewelry and Loan on Greenfield in Detroit. She also had her fair share of on-air tiffs with her brother, Seth Gold, another star of the show.

Well, after nine seasons on the show, she's leaving the family pawn shop and branching off on her own, reports Jay Grossman of Hometown Life.

The paper reports that Bloomfield Township resident is now hawking jewelry through her own website at Pawn Chick Shopping,  which she describes as an online shopping destination for men and women.

“It’s true, I left the pawn shop,” Gold said in a phone interview Wednesday with the paper. “This is my thing now — I’m the pawn chick. I was born and raised in a pawn shop, I know how to buy jewelry and I know how to pair jewelry. Everyone has always seen the rough and tumble side of me, but now people will see a new side of me.”

Gold tells the paper it's not clear if the show is going to be renewed for another season.
