The push to put an end to the rash of arsons at the inconic Heidelberg Project is being taken up a notch.
The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) in Detroit announced Thursday that it is offering a $5, 000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the fires set to several structures at The Heidelberg Project on the east side of
ATF noted that from May 2 throughl Nov 28, there have been seven fires set at various structures -- all of which were destroyed.
ATF and the Detroit Fire Department have been investigating the matter.
β Arsons can have a devastating effect on the community, our chief concern is for families in the surrounding homes and for the lives of the firefighters who respond to these fires.β Daryl McCrary, acting ATF special agent in charge of the Detroit office, said in a statement. βATF and DFD will continue to work together
toward our goal of a successful prosecution in this crime.β
