The North American International Auto Show, which is nearly set up at Cobo for media previews that start Sunday afternoon, is a buzzword-rich environment.
A new one, AutoMobili-D, is splashed on its site, on banners at the downtown hall and on tweets as #AutoMobiliD.

Speaking of business jargon, see how much you spot in this explanation of the new catchphrase at the NAIAS site:
AutoMobili-D will feature 120,000 square feet of dynamic display communities in the Cobo Center Atrium overlooking the international waterway and the adjoining Hall E.
Unlike anywhere else in the world, attending executives, industry professionals and journalists will have the opportunity to experience firsthand advanced driver assist and autonomous vehicle functionality on a dedicated test track all in one building.
Unique communities of participating companies and tech start-ups will cover the following five key mobility areas:
- Autonomous Driving
- Connected Car Technologies
- E-Mobility
- Mobility Services
- Urban Mobility
All clear now, right?
The atrium exhibits are coordinaterd with Techstars Mobility, a Detroit-based business startup supporter.
With another heavy serving of jargon, the NAIAS site tells how Techstars Mobility helps it "curate the roster of participating startups and provide its expertise on innovators looking to disrupt the transportation industry. . . . The accelerator unites automotive and mobility industry leaders with a select group of the most innovative, emerging startups for a 90-day mentorship-driven program."
