Avalon Spreading Its Sweetness to a Downtown Spot

Avalon International Breads, the beloved Detroit bakery on Willis, just off of Cass Avenue, is opening a downtown stores.

Heart and Soul Cafe will be in a Dan Gilbert-owned property at 1049 Woodward Ave. Louis Aguilar writes in The Detroit News.

In addition to baked good, the 2,900-square-foot store will have an expanded breakfast, lunch and dinner menu.
