A few choice words for those who had unused gift cards from the now defunct Borders books: Tough luck.
The Wall Street Journal reports that U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn of Manhattan ruled this week that the bankrupt Borders didn't owe anything to people who didn't use their cards before the chain folded and failed to file claims before last year's deadline.
Cardholders claimed they had a right to file claims past the deadline because the book company failed to notify cardholders before it shutdown for good last September.
