In some ways, it's just like the old days.
Susan Whitall of the Detroit News reports that Motown founder Berry Gordy Jr. and his co-producers of "Motown: The Musical" will hold auditions in Detroit at 9 a.m. Tuesday Oct. 21, at the Motown Historical Museum at 2648 W. Grand Blvd.
Whitall writes:
Gordy, Kevin McCollum and Doug Morris announced an open call casting search Thursday for African-American singers for both the Broadway production of "Motown: The Musical" (currently on hiatus), and the national tour. A London production will also launch in 2015.
