Detroit Firefighters have to deal with a lot of challenges.

The latest:  Engine 29 on West Jefferson in southwest Detroit had a bed bug problem, Amy Lange of Fox 2 reports.

Furniture had to be thrown out after a couple bed bugs were discovered on Saturday, Fox 2 reported, and firefighters were staying at another station to avoid the problem.

"You never know where these things come from," said Gary Fisher, acting fire chief 7, Detroit Fire Department. "But once you got them, you've got to get rid of them."

An exterminator was sent in, and didn't find any live bed bugs, Fox 2 reported.
