Two girls, 13 and 14,  from Anderson Middle School in Berkley had a hit list and plotted to pull off a Columbine-style assault on their school, Rod Meloni of WDIV reports.

The teens, who have been detained in a juvenile detention facility since May 23, appeared Monday before an Oakland County judge. This weekend, they'll have a chance to post bond, WDIV reports.

Hage Betsey, and assistant county prosecutor, told Judge Cheryl Matthews the girls had "plans, detailed plans. Back-up plans. Diagrams. Hit lists, all kinds of things which give great pause to allowing a person back into the community. "

The judge decided not to release the teens before school lets out, WDIV reports.

The plan was to take small guns in their backpacks and shoot both students and teachers during a school assembly, according to Meloni. The girls claim it was a joke, the reporter addsm but the school and police took it very seriously.
