The Detroit City FC, a minor league soccer club with a  fanatical following, will play its first game Friday night at its new home, Keyworth Stadium  in Hamtramck.

The stadium at 3201 Roosevelt St,, next to Veterans Park, has twice the 3,500 seats at its previous home at Cass Tech High School in Detroit. The match against Ann Arbor starts at 7:30 p.m. and tickets are $10.

"Our attendance started growing exponentially," Alex Wright, one of the owners, tells Frank Witsil of the Freep.  "By our third season, we had sold out at Cass Tech, and by our fourth season we were regularly selling out enough that we were faced with the decision that if we were to keep growing, we'd have to find a bigger stadium."
