Detroit police say the brother-in-law of Bishop Charles Ellis of Greater Grace Temple was killed in his west side home Monday afternoon, WWJ-AM reports.
Police spokesman Michael Woody said family members began to worry about 48-year-old Dwayne Green when he didn’t show up to work a the church on Monday, and no one had heard from him.
They went to Green’s house — on Barlon Street near Warren and Livernois — to check on him, and discovered the front door was ajar.
Green was found lying on the floor, critically injured. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died.
Green supervised maintenance at Greater Grace Temple, but Bishop Ellis said he could have been a chef.
