A Bloomfield Township woman screamed and dialed 911 when she discovered three teenagers with a gun standing in her house on Tuesday after 8 p.m.
Her first call goes dead, dispatchers called her back and find out that the suspects have left with her purse, Fox 2's Taryn Asher reports.
Police arrived within minutes and quickly spots a dark colored Pontiac on Acorn Road with three suspects matching the victim's description.
Inside the car, police find a gun, the victim's purse, a 12-gauge shotgun and a Halloween mask.
The suspects - Hayward McAllister, Desmond Fayne and Dorian Kellam, all 17 years old from Pontiac, were arrested and charged with armed robbery and home invasion.
FOX 2 is told they admitted to investigators that they chose the house at random because the house was dark.
They first stole items from the unlocked car in the driveway, then they found the garage door opener and used that to access the unlocked door into the house, Asher reports.
The woman's husband was home at the time, but was sleeping.
