Could it be that downtown Rochester is a little more than just another cute little suburban shopping district?

Rochester-Rochester Hills Patch reports that construction workers involved in the makeover of downtown discovered bones under Main Street that may show the existence of an Indian burial ground in the area.

Patch reports that archaeologists from the state of Michigan are testing the bones. 

"We haven't confirmed what they are or what significance they may have," Rochester City Manager Jaymes Vettraino told Patch. "They are definitely bones, though."
