Reports of Brad Ausmus dismissal at season's end are surfacing in the media, but the Tigers manager says he doesn't know anything about it.
“I haven’t been told anything,” Ausmus says in a text message to The Detroit News. He didn't comment beyond that.
Justin Spiro first reported Tuesday on the blog Detroit Sports Rag that the Tigers expect to hire Ron Gardenhire shortly after the conclusion of the 2015 season. Then late Thursday night, WDIV posted a story saying that Bernie Smilovitz was told Ausmus is a goner after the season ends.

Earlier, Chris McCosky of The News writes:
It certainly wouldn’t come as a surprise if it happens, though. Ausmus, in the second of a three-year deal, was hired by former president and general manager Dave Dombrowski. Dombrowski was fired on Aug. 4.
Al Avila is now running the baseball operations for owner Mike Ilitch and it stands to reason he would like to hire his own manager to run club.
