The popular Bucharest Grill, which already has two locations in Detroit, is going for a third.
Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit reports that owner Bogdan Tarasov is getting ready to open a third location at 112 Piquette Street, off of Woodward in the New Center/Midtown area. The vacant building was once occupied by Dave's Drive-in restaurant.
Romanian native Tarasov tells Eater Detroit that he feels compelled to keep the growing chain in Detroit.
"If people are coming south to eat in Detroit, we don't have to go to the suburbs. They can keep coming to Detroit and seeing the change."
The first location is at 2040 Park Avenue, just off Woodward, near the Fox Theatre. The second location is at 1623 Michigan Avenue in Corktown.
