Businesses Can Offer Customers Parking Discounts With New Detroit Meters

Marti Benedetti writes in Crain's Detroit Bueinss that Detroit businesses can give discounted parking rates with the new parking kiosks in town.

Benedetti writes:

The ParkDetroit Merchant Validation Service allows business owners to open an online account at ParkDetroit.us, decide  how much money they want to load into the parking kiosk near their business and determine what amount of parking discount to give customers.

Merchants enter information about their business and fund their account using a credit or debit card. Customers are given a unique five-digit validation code, which they enter into their mobile app to get their parking discounted.
