Como's

Como's
The rise and fall of Como’s Restaurant in Ferndale has been somewhat of a mystery.
How was it that the family-owned restaurant with a great location at Woodward and 9 Mile Road in downtown Ferndale kept screwing up and getting shut down by the health department for violation after violation?
Last December, the restaurant permanently closed its doors.
Now, comes the revival.
Peas & Carrots Hospitality Group, which operates such restaurants as Social Kitchen & Bar, Mex and Beau’s Grillery, has bought the place and plans to pay homage by keeping the name Como’s, according to a Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit.
Owned by chef Zack Sklar, Jim Bellison, and Josh Humphrey, Peas & Carrots group bought the 8,000-square-foot building for an undisclosed purchase price. The Grego family, which operated Como's, had reportedly listed the property for $4 million.
The owners plan a full renovation, with an opening set for 2019.
