Sen. Carl Levin
You might have thought after decades in the Senate, Carl Levin, 80, would fade into the sunset, kickback and bask in the early bird dinners in Florida.
But that doesn't seem to be the case. The other day, it was announced that he's joining the Detroit-based law firm of Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn.
Now, on top of that, the Detroit Free Press writes that he'll have his hands full over at Wayne State University.
Todd Spangler of the Free Press writes that Wayne State University Law School in Detroit is creating a new center named for Levin, which school officials say will educate future attorneys, business leaders, legislators and public servants on "their role in overseeing public and private institutions."
The paper writes that Levin himself will take over as chairman of the new Levin Center at Wayne Law, step in as "distinguished legislator in residence" at the university and teach classes, beginning this fall.
