Carlita Kilpatrick
Compared to her imprisoned husband Kwame Kilpatrick, Carlita Kilpatrick is still living a life of luxury.
But WDIV's Kevin Dietz reports that she's downsized to a four-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot, $1,300-a-month rental house in Arlington, Tex.
Dietz notes that's a drop from the other homes including the million-dollar, 6,000 square foot mansion the family lived in back in the day when the Kilpatricks said they could only afford to pay $6 each month in restitution.
Dietz notes that at the time "an outraged judge sent Kwame Kilpatrick to jail for 18 months for hiding assets."
Kwame Kilpatrick is currently serving 28 years in a prison in El Reno, Ok.
