Jamie LaReau of Automotive News delves into the portrayal of the auto industry on the hit TV series, "Mad Men," which is based in a fictional New York ad firm in the 1960s.
In the latest episode, she writes, "a lecherous bigwig Jaguar dealer asks an agency partner to arrange a sexual rendezvous with the agency's female head of operations, a married woman. The dealer is an immoral, gluttonous, flamboyant fast-talker -- a stereotype."
Her conclusion: The portrayal is not helpful for an industry still struggling with negative stereotypes.
"Mad Men" doesn't stop there.
