Casey's Pub on Michigan Avenue in Corktown is one of those old classic bars in Detroit that serves up a mean hamburger. It's also long been a hangout for cops and federal agents.

It apparently briefly closed in early January, but it's back in business, reports Eater Detroit.

Brenna Houck of Eater Detroit writes:

Patrons and employees of Casey's Pub may have said their goodbyes on January 4, but it seems the beloved Corktown bar isn't finished yet. Casey's has reopened according to a brief post today on Facebook. "Back in full swing! Thanks for the support." Calls to the restaurant confirm that it is both open and extremely busy. Stay tuned for more details on this surprise reopening.
