Cass Tech's Jayru Campbell, who spent part of his senior year behind bars, is back in school and predicts he'll be playing college football in the fall.

"I believe I'll be playing football somewhere in the fall, no matter if it's Division III, II, I, junior college, prep school, it don't matter," Campbell said, according to a story in the Detroit News by David Goricki. "I'll listen to anybody who thinks they can help me with my future. I'm open to all options.

Campbell made the comments while attending a school basketball game Tuesday night with friends, the News reported.

"I'm finishing up high school at Cass Tech. I started last Friday and I'm doing a co-op deal there where I go to school and go to work for extra credits," he said. I'll be graduating in the summer time, probably five to six weeks after I was supposed to graduate."

Campbell first served 60 days in jail for body slamming a school security officer in January 2014. Then hours after getting out of jail, he assaulted a former girlfriend and eventually ended up back in jail for violating his probation.
