Quintin "Quint" Ramanauskas
It pays to be an FBI snitch, at least in the case of Shelby Township resident Quintin "Quint" Ramanauskas, friend and bagman for trash mogul Chuck Rizzo.
You might recall in April Rizzo was sentenced to more than five years in prison for bribing Macomb County officials to secure municipal trash contracts.
Ramanauskas, a former trusted employee of Rizzo Environmental Services, was sentenced Tuesday bin federal court to three-years probation for cooperating with the FBI and U.S. Attorney's Office and helping convict Rizzo and five others, including Rizzo's father, Clinton Township Trustee Dean Reynolds and towing titan Gasper Fiore.
"Quint committed himself to righting his wrongs," defense lawyer Matthew Crowl writes in a sentencing memo to the judge, reports Robert Snell of The Detroit News. "He agreed to cooperate with the government fully and completely, in any way the government asked."
