You might recall Detroit BBQ Company's owner Tim Idzikowski got into plenty trouble when he posted on Facebook critical comments about cops in December of 2014 after two New York officers were killed in an ambush.

It hurt the business, which includes a food truck and catering.

Now, another posting on Facebook has raised eyebrows.

He posts a personal Facebook page comment saying he secretly used pork fat to cook veggie burgers at an employee appreciation day put on by the city of Royal Oak, WXYZ's Tara Edwards reports.

"I had to cook 10 Boca burgers at a lunch I did for 200 people. (Yes, when someone is paying me $3G for lunch, I will cook veggie burgers and do it with a smile.)

I got a lot of compliments on how I got the outside so crispy and the inside still moist. I neglected to tell them I ran out of cooking oil and used rendered pork fat to fry them in.."

“I take allergies very seriously. Vegans? Not so much. I also told them I had a special set of tongs just for them as well. (I didn’t)."

Idzikowski tells WXYZ that the post was a joke and that he'd never mess with customers’ food. He said the boca burgers were actually microwaved.

A city employee says the veggie burgers never came into contact with any type of animal fat and she microwaved many of those burgers herself.
