Odd things happen at a coney island restaurant after midnight. Alexis Wiley , a Fox 2 reporter, presents a case in point:

A late night snack turned into a smackdown.  It happened at the National Coney Island at 11 Mile and Gratiot in Roseville around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Customers "ended up in a heated exchange with a security guard, and then things got a little messy," Wiley reports.

Fight scene from a customer's phone video is posted by Fox 2.

Witnesses say an employee hit one customer with the Please Be Seated sign and others stopped cooking and started kicking.

Video shows Carlos Evans on the ground and two employees ganging up on another guy, and instead of stopping the fight, security appears to jump in.  The customer that was being punched said the guy on top of him patted him down and stole his wallet just before the security guard snatched him up and threw him out.

A cell phone video clearly shows the security guard dishing out high fives after the beatdown.

"It's very disturbing," said Roseville Police Chief James Berlin. "We'll investigate it, and we'll try to get to the bottom of it and prosecute who started this."
