With the warmer weather comes hope of construction.
John Gallagher of the Detroit Free Press reports that construction could begin in the next several weeks on Detroit's new arena complex on the northern edge of downtown.
Gallagher writes that earthmoving equipment has turned up on the site in recent days.
The new hockey arena is slated to open in 2017.
