This is a little different twist to the Wayne County scandals.

Zayd Allebban, a former appointee of Wayne County Executive Robert Ficano, who was convicted in the county scandals, is suing Philip Shisha, claiming Shisha wrongfully dragged him into the case, John Wisely of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Shisha, who worked in the county IT department, wore a secret recording device that helped convict Allebban. Shisha will try to get the suit dismissed today, the Freep reports.

“To avoid prosecution and to enhance his value to the FBI, Shisha fabricated false stories about Allebban, knowing the stories to be false, leading the FBI to believe that Allebbban was also involved,” Allebban said in his lawsuit filed by his attorney, Haytham Fara in Wayne County Circuit Court.

A federal jury last year convicted Allebban of two counts of obstruction of justice and was sentenced to 41 months in prison.
