The national spotlight will shine on Detroit area restaurants on Thursday.
Sylvia Rector of the Detroit Free Press reports that the Cooking Channel’s “Chuck’s Eat the Street” will feature some restaurants along Michigan Avenue in Detroit and Dearborn at 10 p.m. Thursday.
Rector writes that host Chuck Hughes will feature Slows Bar BQ's smoked St. Louis ribs with potato salad; Hygrade Deli's triple-decker “Packing House” sandwich; La Pita's homestyle Lebanese dish called melokhieh, made with Egyptian mallow leaves and the Mercury Burger & Bar's fried bologna sandwich with grilled onions, Swiss cheese and a “smosh” of potato chips. -- A.L.
