Cooley Law School has seen better days.
RJ Wolcott of the Lansing State Journal reports that enrollment has dropped 52 percent since 2010 when more than 3,900 students attended the school.
The paper reports:
Law school enrollment has been declining nationwide since 2010, ABA data show. At Cooley, it has declined almost three times as fast.
During its years of explosive growth, Cooley opened three satellite campuses in Michigan and one near Tampa, Florida.
Last year, administrators at the school, now known as the Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School, closed its Ann Arbor campus and laid off faculty members in an effort to mitigate the losses.
