Scott Lewis, the veteran investigative reporter and scourge of shady towing operators everywhere, is leaving WXYZ Channel 7. A news release from Mort Meisner Associates says Lewis' final day at Broadcast House will be July 18. He joined WXYZ in 2010 after more than 20 years with WJBK Channel 2 and stints at various local radio stations.
According to the statement, Lewis will announce a "new career venture" shortly. Hopefully, that venture will involve tracking dirty contractors and skeezy politicians because few reporters do that as well as Lewis. Let's take a moment to remember some of his greatest hits.
