Could big things be coming to Historic Fort Wayne?

The state's Michigan Economic Development Corp. retained a New York firm, to analyze how to revive the long-underused Historic Fort Wayne, a 96-acre site on the banks of the Detroit River, Louis Aguilar writes in The Detroit News.

The goal is to maintain the character of the site while finding new uses, such as housing, office, industrial or cultural activities, Aguilar writes.

The plan is expected to be delivered to the state by year's end.
