That benchmark was reached Wednesday, according to a Covid-19 Vaccine Dashboard freshened each weekday afternoon by the state health department.
Passing the million mark of full immunizations reflects a notable jump in the past five weeks. On Feb. 1, 200,000 people had received both Pfizer or Moderna shots. On March 2, 856,000 were completely protected.
Among those fully vaccinated, 62.4% are women and 37.5% are men. The largest age group is between 65 and 74, accounting for 27% of the all-done vaccine recipients.
Overall, 2.83 million shots have been given statewide, including 9,371 of the Johnson & Johnson single-dose version received since last week. The Department of Health and Human Services lists 1,824,772 recipients of first doses, mostly from the first two brands.
Michigan's one-year pandemic death toll reached 15,729 Thursday. The state reports 2,091 newly confirmed Covid cases.
