Craig Fahle
Craig Fahle, who hosted a popular morning show on WDET for seven years before taking a job with Mayor Mike Duggan in 2014, resigns from his city position, effective March 2.
"It's time to move on," Fahle tells Deadline Detroit. "I miss what I was doing and want to get back to that in some capacity.
"It would be a decent assumption people will hear me or see me soon."
He is looking at different options, but declines to get more specific.
Fahle left Detroit's public radio station as host of "The Craig Fahle Show" to become director of public affairs for the Detroit Land Bank Authority in August 2014.
He wanted to at least serve out the first term under Duggan before reassessing his career, the ex-broadcaster says. Fahle expects to handle occasional city projects as a contractor.
"I don't regret a second I was there," he said. "It's incredibly important work that we did and we accomplished a lot more than people realize. We've impacted ten of thousands of properties."
The mayor's director of communications salutes him in reaction to this article:
@CraigFahle is an absolute pro. Wherever he goes, they will be lucky to have him. https://t.co/OkZAIj1Py4
