Crime still continues to run rampant in Detroit.
Seven people were shot overnight in Detroit in six separate instances over a seven-hour span and one of them, a 33-year-old man, was killed, James Dickson of the Detroit News reports.
Three of the shootings took place on the east side, three on the west side. Six of the seven victims are men.
The one fatal shooting occurred on Detroit's east side about 2:30 a.m. A 33-year-old man was found fatally shot in an empty field on the 17000 block of Chester, just south of Harper, the News reports. Police found multiple shell casings at the scene, but have no description of the suspect.
